Vasaloppet's Winter Week consists of various ski races held in the end of February and the beginning of March. The races take place in the ninety-kilometer Vasaloppet Arena between Sälen and Mora.

Join a group for a snowmobile safari to experience the wilderness and stunning landscape in a new way. You drive your own vehicle and the leader guides the group on the tour.

Orsa Opera Society arrange viewings of broadcasted opera performances at the local movie theater. Visit their facebook page to see what's up during your visit.
Zorngården, the home of Swedish 20th century artist Anders and his wife Emma Zorn, where they received guests and friends from both the Royal family and the artist community of the time. We recommend that you reserve a ticket for a guided tour.
Carl Larssongården, a classic destination worth visiting. Experience Carl's artistry through the many paintings in the home, and wife Karin's textile art that range from traditional to very modern. Tickets for guided tours in English can be reserved here.
Munthe's Hildasholm in Leksand was the wedding gift of Medical Doctor and author Axel Munthe to his young wife Hilda Pennington Mellor. The house was built in 1910 and displays the family's furniture, art and clothing. The surrounding garden was designed by Hilda and thought to be Dalarna's most genuine English garden, inspired by the arts & crafts movement.
Except for a Christmas market in December, the house and garden is a summer destination.
Nittsjö Keramik, a former brick mill known for the design items by designers with large variations in style, from folklore and traditional to modern expressions.
A couple of minute's walk from the hotel you'll find the spa and relax of Smidgårdens, with an indoor pool with jetstream, log fire sauna and relax overlooking the beautiful Lake Orsa and the mountains in the distance.
Towels, robes and slippers are included, as well as small snacks and water.

If you are looking for a sauna experience extraordinaire, we recommend Gronklitt's floating sauna. It is beautifully located with a lovely view of the Rädjön Lake. This is a wood-burning sauna, and the wood as well as matches/lighting aids can be found in the benches of the changing room. It can be rented for 3 hours and up to 10 persons here.
